Mould Making

Fine Art Plasterwork strives to not only restore original designs but also to create bespoke mouldings. We work with the highest quality of materials in the industry, ranging from lightweight plaster of Paris for interior mouldings to weatherproof FibreCem for outdoor decorations. For more bespoke ornamental sculpture work we can also use ceramic plasters and cold-cast bronze to name a few.

How does a moulding project work at Fine Art Plasterwork? We will visit the site to review the scale of the damaged area and take a sample of the piece to reconstruct. If we have to work from a drawing or a photo, we are able to create a design on a clay model in-house.

Once the template is created, we can begin the mould-making process. We then produce a plaster model onto which the mould is poured and finally manufacture the copy of the original piece and install it within the damaged or proposed area of the building. If you would like to learn more about our Mould Making service, get in touch with Fine Art Plasterwork via our contact section or give us a call on 020 8679 2533.
